Hunger (Part 3 of 6)

open door tree

Hand on her stomach, it grumbles,

a familiar feeling of late.

This ache for the tree of Life,

how long has it been?

She slows her pace,

allowing the others to pass,

on the way to their next meal.

There it is, her heart skips a beat!

a glimpse of the Tree along the path!

Or was it a whiff instead,

of it’s rare, living fruit?

So plain that most pass it by,

but a fruit that once you eat,

nothing else EVER tastes the same.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,

for they will be filled.

~ Matthew 5:6
